I liked when It was in Waterbury. The hotel was nice and the water park was fun when it was open.

I know for me after 2 years of this I'm done and I'm moving on. Mask and vaccine mandates are a thing of the past and many places are dropping them like a bad habit.

My mom died in March after getting the JnJ booster which destroyed whatever good was left in her heart from 37 years of mechanical valves. Because of that I'll never take any of them and I've been doing very good with my own immune system. If you look, more and more is coming out about the dangers of the jabs, including with young people.

It still may not be there when I check in, but then the hotel is on the hook to find me another room at the same rate and within reasonable distance. That has more than once gotten me a much nicer room at the hotel, because nobody was willing to pay for the presidential suite.

its a tricky situation in FL (lived there, have family there) a lot of times they wait till the last second to call for orders and then the roads are clogged. Just got the call from armon hotel. Got my room. I asked some questions about the room amenities. Every room has a mini fridge. There is a shared microwave on each floor next to the ice machine. There are some rooms with roll in showers, which I did ask for. But she didn't have anything about placement on a party floor or a quiet floor. That's kind of important. Someone mentioned driving a tall vehicle so I asked about parking for that. She said the hotel did have a limited number of parking spaces for tall vans, but they were not in their main parking garage. Ask for that upon check in at the hotel.

the way I understand it, the hotel has an online system that accepts unlimited reservations. It's much easier for the hotel, but would suck for attendees who got the "sorry, overbooked" cancellation email. That's why the con came up with this way. Noone is happy with this process, but it was hoped to be better for the attendees than what the hotel has

Short answer, it's one version of a shower that counts as mobility handicapped accessible under the ADA. Slightly longer answer: it's a extra large shower stall with a fold out seat that is big enough and on the same floor level so you can roll into it in a wheelchair and transfer yourself to the seat and wash yourself up.

I ask for one every time. I have slipped and fallen in regular hotel tinytubs while showering. Luckily I never badly injured myself, but definitely left me bruised and sore, and the hotel ended up having to fix the curtain rod when I grabbed it in an attempt to keep from falling, and ripped it out of the wall instead.

Yes. They feel weird as I walk on them because they give under my weight, but never slipped on one. You do have to rinse them off and hang them up to dry after each use though, otherwise they become mold colonies.

Good to use them when in public showers to keep from getting tinia infections. I bring a small spray bottle of white vinegar that I use to sanitize the hotel shower first.
